History Timeline Freeze, Posters, Activity Book and CD

The LCP History Time Lines will help children develop a ‘mental map’ of the past, whilst broadening their use of historical vocabulary and their chronological understanding.

The LCP History Time Lines offer large, full-colour posters which will enhance the walls of any classroom, corridor or assembly hall. Each set of time lines is accompanied by a black and white activity booklet containing teacher’s notes and children’s activity sheets based on the time lines. The LCP History Time Lines are linked to the QCA Scheme of Work for history at Key Stages 1 and 2 and contain National Curriculum Programme of Study references.

A CD, which carries an electronic PDF version of the activity book and the time lines, enables you to project all the material on to a whiteboard for whole-class teaching. You can zoom in and out of each time line and scroll backwards and forwards.

The CD, activity book and time lines form one whole package for which you do not need a site licence. There are three packages: KS1, Years 3 & 4 and Years 5 & 6.

The three time lines in the Key Stage 2 Years 3&4 pack are:

• Invaders and settlers
• The Tudors
• A time ruler that covers 5000 years of history

The three time lines in the Key Stage 2 Years 5&6 pack are:

• The nineteenth century
• The twentieth century
• A time ruler that covers 5000 years of history
