Maths for parents has largely changed and children are learning using different strategies.  Helping primary children with their maths can be daunting. To help parents understand the new strategies LCP has a CD available, Take a Teacher Home. 

This double CD contains video clips which show parents how maths is taught in today’s classrooms, thus enabling them to adopt the same methodology when helping their children at home.

Take a Teacher Home generates addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations for Key Stage 2 (Yrs 3-6) pupils to solve at home with their parents.

Before ‘having a go’, both child and parent can view a video of Kathryn Robinson demonstrating how the particular calculation is taught. If more help is needed at any time, the 'Help Me' button allows the video clip to be viewed again and again.
