Wellbeing is the basis on which all learning and development depends, for learners of all ages. It is the basis of community cohesion and underpins employability.
All of us concerned with children and young people’s learning, or with community development, know that the impact of our best efforts in teaching and learning is in direct proportion to the level of wellbeing of the learners we want to succeed.
Wellbeing is the key to narrowing the gap between the most and the least advantaged, and raising the bar in terms of the level of skills and maturity we need to create a vibrant society and prosperous economy in the twenty first century.
But what exactly do we mean by wellbeing? How do we recognise when learners – and staff – have it? How can we make sure the curriculum and activities we offer enable learners to enhance and sustain their wellbeing? How do we know we’ve made a difference?
Emotional Wellbeing - Developing a Framework is an INSET Training CD which seeks to help refine and build on your existing provision through:
• Developing the basis for defining wellbeing
• Setting out a proposed framework of five dimensions of wellbeing
• Suggesting a way of planning, measuring and evaluating delivery.
All our INSET Training Programme CDs offer excellent value for money, especially compared to the costs charged by independent consultants for in-service training.
