Policies for Primary Schools CD 6th edition

Covering all aspects of school policy from assessment and marking, to ICT and racial equality.

This new 6th edition offers 56 subject and aspect policies, covering everything from assessment and marking, to ICT and racial equality, which can be customised to suit the circumstances within your own school, and including two new policies:

Governors in School - deals with the school's relationship with governors; school's and governors' responsibilities; governors' visits to school and classrooms; issues surrounding handling of confidential information.

Emergency Planning - a new mandatory policy which aims to: prevent or minimise the loss of life and injury to pupils and staff; alert relevant parties, e.g. the emergency services, the local authority, parents/carers and school governors; take control at the scene until the emergency services arrive; minimise disruption to the normal daily routine of staff and pupils; support staff, pupils and parents in the aftermath of an incident; ensure effective working with the media.

All the policies have been updated to be in line with the renewed Primary Framework for Literacy and Mathematics and the re-designation of the DfES as the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Policies have been revised to include recent changes in educational language, thinking and legislation.
