Listening is often the hardest part of a language exam.
Écoutez bien! is a photocopiable resource and three CDs that provide invaluable listening practice for GCSE/Standard Grade pupils.
Featuring tasks for Foundation as well as Higher Level, each page starts with a short and simple listening practice concentrating on one particular area of difficulty and then moves on to an exam type task which includes the area of difficulty that has just been tackled.
Systematically Écoutez bien! highlights the pitfalls specific to listening, for instance recognising simple and complex negatives (ne ... pas, ne ... rien), discourse markers (mais, par contre), liaisons, time markers (hier, l’année prochaine), etc.
Suitable for ages 14-16/KS4 (Years 10-11) S3–4 in Scotland.
