History Time Lines KS1+ CD

Description

Our History Timelines Friezes, which are accompanied by Activity Books and CDs, will help your pupils develop a ‘mental map’ of the past, whilst broadening their use of historical vocabulary and their chronological understanding. Each timeline consists of a series of four large posters that, once assembled together, create a fantastic full-colour frieze which will enhance the walls of any classroom, corridor or assembly hall.

Each set of timelines has a corresponding Activity Book (containing teacher’s notes and pupils’s activity sheets based on the timeline) and a CD. The latter carries an electronic PDF version of the Activity Book and the Timelines, enabling you to project all the material on to a whiteboard for whole-class teaching. This also enables you to zoom in and out of each timeline and scroll backwards & forwards.

The Timelines, Activity Books and CDs form one whole package for which you do not need a site licence.

There are three timeline packages available for Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2), Key Stage 2  (Years 3 & 4) and Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6).

The Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) package has five timelines, plus an accompanying Activity Book and CD, covering:

• Toys
• Florence Nightingale
• Homes
• The Great Fire of London
• The seaside

The Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4) pack has two timelines, plus an accompanying Activity Book and CD, covering:

• Invaders and settlers
• The Tudors

And in addition:

• A timeline ruler** that covers 5000 years of history

The Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) pack has two timelines, plus an accompanying Activity Book and CD, covering:

• Britain in the 19th Century
• Britain in the 20th Century

And in addition:

• A timeline ruler** that covers 5000 years of history
