Beliefs, Values, Tolerance – religion for a wider world
RE is a vibrant subject, enriched by art, artefacts and music; drama and philosophy; history and geography. LCP’s RE Resource file can help form the basis of a wholeschool ethos of care, respect, knowledge and value, and is therefore vital for good spiritual, moral and social development.
The RE Resource File for Key Stage 1 is based on the non-statutory framework and provides comprehensive and well planned material for busy class teachers. The Key Stage 1 File builds on the material used in LCP’s RE Resource file for Foundation Stage, providing continuity and progression throughout Key Stage 1.
The file can be used with any locally agreed RE syllabus and includes:
- lessons on the six principle religions – Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism
- discussion on other religious beliefs and non-religious viewpoints
- exploring similarities and differences between beliefs
- enrichment activities: visitors from faith communities, outings to places of worship, examination of artefacts, listening to music, watching videos, reading stories, role-playing, and spending time in special places for reflection.
Now fully updated for the 2014 Curriculum, our RE Resource Files are a ‘must have’ for every primary classroom.
