ITRACK – An Easy to use school assessment tracking system

Based near Penzance, Cornwall, St Hilary School is part of the Leading Edge Academy Partnership. After the announcement of the closure of SPTO, Kelley Butcher, head of St Hilary School contacted iTRACK Education (formerly LCP) about their assessment tracking system: iTRACK.

They required a system that would be used across all three Primary Schools and that was easy to use. This was important as they wanted to benchmark against each other using the same tracking system. This also helps by encouraging peer-to-peer support between the schools. They particularly liked the EYFS profile builder, so they could track the learning journey of their children online. Also how this links to the ‘Enter Pupil Assessment’ meaning assessment is seamless without having to do double the work.

Kelley proceeded with a licence for St Hilary, with the mind-set of the other schools joining once their SPTO licence ran out. After training online in July and a refresher training session with another school in the Partnership in September 2019, Kelley commented “the move over to iTRACK has been a seamless process thanks to the excellent training and support that we have received. The platform is ‘uncomplicated’ and all staff have been able to upload their own data. Leaders at all levels have been able to take any information from it that they need with ease with the excellent filtering options that are in place. We were very impressed with how quickly iTRACK was set up for us with all of the data transferred from our previous system. We chose iTRACK because it allows all of the data collection which is needed without being cumbersome or onorous for teachers to use it has balanced perfectly between the accountability needed and staff-wellbeing. I would have no hesitation to recommend iTRACK to any schools.”
